Party Petals

Hi! My name is Brandi Richards and I am the owner and designer of Party Petals Floral Design. I specialize in event floristry which includes weddings, Bat Mitzvahs, corporate parties, showers and every other type of festivity. I have been working with flowers for over 15 years and design over 40 events each year. I prefer to keep my number of projects on a smaller scale so that I can really get to know all of my clients and channel their thoughts and wishes while I am working on their unique designs. Flowers are my creative outlet. I love designing beautiful things and I definitely have the best job in the world!

Going Green

Party Petals is committed to going "green." Our goal is to generate as little waste as possible and to allow the beauty of the flowers to be enjoyed as long as possible. All discarded materials are distributed between green waste, recycling, and garbage. Any flowers that remain from projects will be donated and delivered to a local retirement home. If you return your loaned vases, in a timely manner with the flowers intact, they will be donated and delivered to a local retirement home as well.

Pricing

Party Petals does not have a price list or packages but I often get requests for pricing information. So, to help give a general idea of what prices are like, I am providing two lists. The first is a list of floral industry standards. The second is a list of average Party Peteals prices. Please keep in mind that prices vary dramatically based on the intricacy of designs as well as season and flower type. Party Petals does have a minimum order of $750.

In addition, here are some helpful hints to save on wedding flowers.

• Reduce the number of attendants in your wedding party. Less attendants means your florist will have to create fewer bouquets.
• Reduce the number of guests at your wedding. Fewer tables means fewer floral centerpieces.
• Choose in-season wedding flowers. They are often less expensive and easier to find.
• Choose less complicated flowers. Certain flowers will run up of the cost of your floral budget no matter what season. Ask your florist to review your options with you.
- Flowers that tend to be expensive: Lily of the Valley, Calla Lily, Orchids, Magnolias, Peonies, Gardenia and Hydrangea - Flowers that tend to be moderately priced: Lavender, Daffodil, Gerbera Daisies, Chrysanthemum, Carnations, Stock, Alstromeria, Roses (due to huge variance in kind, quality, and color) and Greenery – such as ivy
• Try to be open minded about centerpiece designs. Consider using the flowers you love in a simpler style, which will save big on labor costs.
• Choose a naturally beautiful location. A springtime wedding in a garden hardly needs additional floral arrangements, while an ornate church may be breathtaking on its own. Also consider that many facilities are decorated for the holidays, so holding a December wedding may provide you with gorgeous poinsettias and garland free of cost.
